Health resort pedigree of Kolobrzeg dates back to the early nineteenth century. Kolobrzeg is the largest seaside health resort in Poland. Characteristic of the climate of this resort are the strong winds that sweep from the sea along the coastline to the land, thanks to which the air in Kolobrzeg is saturated with ozone and iodine. The Kolobrzeg spa resort has natural healing resources such as medicinal and underground waters and medicinal peat. There are also mineral water springs and brine in the spa's vicinity.

The nearby therapeutic mud makes the town popular with visitors from Poland and abroad, who have 24 treatment centers at their disposal. They are visited by people suffering from diseases of the respiratory system, circulatory system, motor organs or skin allergies.
